About Fair Lawn, NJ Real Estate Market

Located at 10 miles from New York City, Fair Lawn is a small borough and a part of Bergen County in New Jersey state. It is one of the most densely populated boroughs in New Jersey, with around 32,500 people living in the town. Fair Lawn is often regarded as one of the top ten places for living in New Jersey. Even the town's motto is - a great place to visit and a better place to live, officially coined by Jake Jonso.

Fair Lawn was formed in 1924 from the portions of Saddle River Township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The borough seeks its name from the estate home of David Acker, ”Fairlawn”, which was built in 1865 and later on became the municipal building of the town. In 1933, the borough was renamed from Fairlawn to Fair Lawn.

Due to its proximity to New York City, Fair Lawn has become one of the most sought-after places for those working professionals and commuters who want more affordable small-sized homes for sale in New Jersey. The town is well-connected to New York City by railroad and has two prominent stations, Radburn and Broadway. Radburn is one of the first planned communities in Fair Lawn, which was founded in 1929 and is home to Radburn Plaza, one of the best architectural marvels of the town.
